Winter Relief Initiative: Distributing warm blankets and essential winter supplies to vulnerable communities in remote, snow-covered regions.
The blanket round is the least complicated thing we do and the one volunteers ask to join most often. You load a van before dawn, you knock on doors you knocked on last year, and you sit down for ten minutes in each one.
The ten minutes is the point. Most of the people on the winter list live alone. The blanket is the reason to be there.
